Now a single traffic stop in Phoenix has revealed 43 automatic weapons with serial numbers traceable to the the ATF scandal - taken from 4 illegal aliens arrested in the stop. At least 178 teachers and principals at nearly four dozen schools in Atlanta have been implicated in what is likely the largest cheating scandal in U.S. history to date.

The report found that teachers, principals and administrators were both helping students on the state's standardized test, the Criterion-Reference Competency Test, and correcting incorrect answers after students had turned the tests in. Eighty-two educators confessed to the allegations detailed in the report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

Calling it a "dark day" for Atlanta Public Schools, Mayor Kasim Reed said the yearlong investigation "confirms our worst fears ... There is no doubt that systemic cheating occurred on a widespread basis in the school system. Further, there is no question that a complete failure of leadership in the Atlanta Public School system hurt thousands of children who were promoted to the next grade without meeting basic academic standards."

The report on the Atlanta Public Schools, released Tuesday, indicates a "widespread" conspiracy by teachers, principals and administrators to fix answers on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Test (CRCT), punish whistle-blowers, and hide improprieties.

Superintendent Beverly Hall and her top aides ignored, buried, destroyed or altered complaints about misconduct, claimed ignorance of wrongdoing and accused naysayers of failing to believe in poor children’s ability to learn.

For years — as long as a decade — this was how the Atlanta school district produced gains on state curriculum tests. The scores soared so dramatically they brought national acclaim to Hall and the district, according to an investigative report released Tuesday by Gov. Nathan Deal.

In the report, the governor’s special investigators describe an enterprise where unethical — and potentially illegal — behavior pierced every level of the bureaucracy, allowing district staff to reap praise and sometimes bonuses by misleading the children, parents and community they served.

That's because they stopped serving the community long ago. Like I said, public schools are now lifestyle, heathcare and pension management entities that teach on the side, poorly, and at a loss.

“APS is run like the mob,” one teacher told investigators, saying she cheated because she feared retaliation if she didn’t.

The voluminous report names 178 educators, including 38 principals, as participants in cheating. More than 80 confessed. The investigators said they confirmed cheating in 44 of 56 schools they examined.

...The findings fly in the face of years of denials from Atlanta administrators. The investigators re-examined the state’s erasure analysis — which they said proved to be valid and reliable — and sought to lay to rest district leaders’ numerous excuses for the suspicious scores.

The White House released its annual salary report last week, and as usual, it's nice to work for Barack Obama: Most staffers who were there for more than a year got a salary bump. A bigger one than you did.

The last time we checked in on White House salaries, we found that an astonishing 75% of continuing staffers got raises from 2009 to 2010—a huge number given the fact that, according to compensation experts, most companies had skipped routine raises that year in reaction to the economic crisis that the White House was busy failing to solve. This time around—from 2010 to 2011—the ratio is a little less dramatic. Of the 270 White House staffers who have been there for more than a year, 146—or 54%—received raises. The average salary increase was 8%. If you look at only staffers who got raises, the average increase was twice that.

That's a much bigger raise than the average white-collar worker got. According to a survey conducted last year by the human resources consulting firm Mercer, most firms were projecting a 3% increase in base pay for executives. White House workers did nearly three times as well. ...

I don't know if Casey Anthony is guilty or not. My own opinion is that she probably is. I admit to not having followed the case much the past few years, and I'm glad I didn't. However, our system has a high burden of proof for a murder conviction. For those that insist we live in a Democracy, do note that it takes a unanimous jury to convict, not a simple majority. In essence, I would rather see an occasional murderer go free than convicting the innocent. In any case, many in the media became emotionally invested in the Anthony case and have lashed out at the jury because a little girl didn't get justice. Perhaps most ironically, many of these same people are pro-aborts and little girls get butchered every day with their approval.

You know that saying that great minds think alike? All I have to say is 'heh:'

Video of Obama: Raising Taxes Creates Jobs!

You read that right, raising taxes - ie, pulling money out of the private sector that produces goods and services and putting money into the government sector that only takes but produces nothing - creates jobs according to our community organizer in chief:

"You’re entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts... A modest increase for wealthy individuals is not shown to have an adverse impact on job growth."

Modest to the liberal is somewhere between 99.5 and 100%. Obama seems to have entitled himself to his own facts as his assertion counters the proven economic model known as the Laffer curve where taxes increased beyond a certain point leads to a decrease in tax revenue because of human behavioral changes when those tax increases are rightly seen as punitive. Reducing those taxes actually increases revenue again because of behavioral changes. These behavioral changes are not taken into account in CBO models by the way.

President Barack Obama says the debt ceiling should not "be used as a gun against the heads" of Americans to retain breaks for corporate jet owners or oil and gas companies.

Obama is seeking to reduce the deficit, in part, through new tax revenue raised by closing loopholes and tax subsidies. Among the loopholes cited by the White House are tax benefits for corporate jets. He also has called for ending subsidies to oil and gas companies, a proposal that would generate about $40 billion in revenue over 10 years.

Together, that extra revenue over 10 years won't even make up for Obama's deficit for one month. But let me get back to Obama's hypocrisy on violent rhetoric. Back in January after the Giffords shooting, Obama called for a "new civility," but himself has been the most uncivil President since I became politically aware decades ago. There of course are these recent quotes:

Obama's stimulus tab so far: $666 Billion. Former economic Christina Romer recounts "Holy Sh$t" moment on economy

The bill from hell - $666 billion so far. And that to "save or create" 2.4 million jobs at roughly $250,000 a piece. The govt could have simply cuts checks directly to people for far less. And don't for a moment believe the 2.4 million jobs number. The labor force has decreased by 3 million since the stimulus was passed and that's real data. Failed economic adviser Christina Romer recounted the dire economy that she herself made even worse:

News broke yesterday that the unemployment rate in August increased to a 26-year high of 9.7%, with expectations of the rate topping 10% and increasing into 2010. The numbers were totally white-washed by the AP (How To Sugarcoat Obama's Rising Unemployment Rate, Now At 9.7%? AP Shows Us How!). Worse yet, teen unemployment hit an all-time high of over 25% (1 in 4 teens unemployed). Even worse yet is this from Glenn Reynolds over at Instapundit:

Real Unemployment Rate Hits 16.8%. This sounds upsetting, but when listening to NPR and reading the NYT I felt so much more reassured. They’re not unemployed, they’re funemployed!

Remember when the Obama administration predicted unemployment topping out at 8% is the $1 trillion stimulus boondoggle was passed (including compliance costs. It will be even more if you consider interest on the debt). How did that work out? Not well:
The actual unemployment rate is not only higher than what was predicted if the stimulus plan passed, but worse than was predicted if nothing had been done at all. So what do you do if you are Christina Romer who came up with the 8% peak? Spin like a top, and then some:

Dana Milbank describes how depressing it was to the gathered media to have someone on the inside of the Obama administration tell them that the emperor and his staff have no clothes when it comes to the economy:

She had no idea how bad the economic collapse would be. She still doesn’t understand exactly why it was so bad. The response to the collapse was inadequate. And she doesn’t have much of an idea about how to fix things.
What she did have was a binder full of scary descriptions and warnings, offered with a perma-smile and singsong delivery: “Terrible recession. . . . Incredibly searing. . . . Just how bad was it?  Romer admitted that no one at the White House understood the fundamentals of this recession, and how they just assumed it would behave like previous recessions.  And it might have done so, had the Obama administration applied the policies that alleviated previous recessions, especially those that Ronald Reagan used to pull the US out of a decade-long stagnation slump where high inflation eroded the buying power of Americans.  Instead of cutting taxes (especially capital gains taxes) and reducing regulation to entice new investment, Barack Obama and Congressional Democrats chose to chase a government takeover of health care, a massive tax on energy production that would penalize expansion and growth, and expanding the jurisdiction on Wall Street of the same agencies that had watched the collapse come and did nothing about it.

Glenn Reynolds also has this: "CHRISTINA ROMER, MYSTIFIED. “Yes, we’ve noticed that every damned thing that happens is declared ‘unexpected.’ . . . The act is broadly on track is a helpful thing to believe if you want to experience every bit of bad news as a surprise. . . . Well, if you did the quantitative analysis in order to support the policy preference you put first, then it’s not… surprising that that your quantitative analysis was second-rate.”"As I have said many times in this blog, the stimulus made things worse, not better. ObamaCare and the prospect of cap-and-trade made things even worse. There hasn't been one thing Obama and the Democrats have done right with respect to the economy. If they had done nothing at all it would have been far better than what they did do. You want to know what's perhaps even scarier? Christina Romer is stepping down and is going to instead... teach economics. Yikes.

To normal people, terrorism is flying planes into buildings and killing innocent people. It is strapping a bomb to your chest and running into a crowd of women and children and detonating yourself. To the liberal, it is not being able to spend money you don't have. No, really!

Calling Republicans the "Wahhabis of the American government" wasn't enough for MSNBC's Chris Matthews today. In case his audience didn't fully appreciate the subtle nuance of his message, he reiterated by calling efforts to cut spending, retain the debt ceiling and to not increase taxes "terrorism". Also note the on-screen graphic titled "Tax Cut Cult". Matthews' comparisons of Republicans to violent religious extremists just keep on coming.

Bill Ayers has once again suggested he was the author of Barack Obama's celebrated autobiography, even though the admission could be explained away as a mocking irony designed only to goad Ayers's critics by yet another false admission he was the president's ghostwriter.

At the conclusion of a speech sponsored by the Students for a Democratic Society at Montclair State University in New Jersey, the former Weather Underground bomber gleefully claimed credit for writing Obama's "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance."
 
As shown in a video clip on YouTube, Ayers responding to a question about "Dreams," said, "Did you know that I wrote it, incidentally?"

Detroit is not in ruins because of the national economy, or the dip in the auto inductry, or the millions of other excuses that will fly because of the above. No. Detroit is in ruins for one simple reason: 50 years of Democrat hegemonic domination. Cancer destroys the infrastructure of your body by corrupting it at the cellular level. Liberalism destroys the infrastructure of any community by corrupting it at the individual level. 60 years ago, before liberalism took hold and metastasized, Detroit was the industrial capital of the entire planet. After Democrats took over, the city has been reduced to a warning of what not to do. From my post earlier this month: Hiroshima recovered far better from a nuclear explosion than Detroit ever will from an explosion of liberalism. The place is also crime-ridden beyond description. Detroit is one of most dangerous cities on the PLANET, alongside Baghdad and  Beirut, as ranked by CNN last spring.Thus the logical question: Why Do Blacks Vote for Democrats?

The Democratic Party that foisted and fought for enslaving black people in the 19th century, did the same thing in the 20th and into the 21st centuries - shackling to black population to hopelessness and dependency on the Democratic Party. Back then, it was through physical force. Today, it is through political force as any black person not towing the liberal line is branded an Uncle Tom or a porch money of the white man. Democrats are the ones that run failed minority urban schools, failed minority urban cities (read: Detroit), have replaced the father with the government via welfare, etc. The list is endless, but there is only one result - the lifelong dependency of the black community on the Democratic apparatus via social programs specifically designed to shackle them. The Democrats have institutionalized black people to where they cannot be free. Democrat social programs are methods of control. The victim mentality was installed in black communities by Democrats. Affirmative action separates people by their race. Us against them. Black versus white. The party of identity politics divides people and judges them by the color of their skin, not by the content of their character. Democrats have kept blacks down in the plantations of failed urban environments with failed public schools that only teach hopelessness, doomed to continue voting for Democrats to get handouts that they have been convinced they are entitled to and that they couldn't survive without. And Democrats continue to to reap many votes from people's misery that they themselves have created. It's time that the black community wakes up and starts to vote for freedom, including their own, and their unalienable right to self determination that those centuries ago fought for. There is only one solution to the problem: STOP ELECTING DEMOCRATS!!!

I don't know if Casey Anthony is guilty or not. My own opinion is that she probably is. I admit to not having followed the case much the past few years, and I'm glad I didn't. However, our system has a high burden of proof for a murder conviction. For those that insist we live in a Democracy, do note that it takes a unanimous jury to convict, not a simple majority. In essence, I would rather see an occasional murderer go free than convicting the innocent. In any case, many in the media became emotionally invested in the Anthony case and have lashed out at the jury because a little girl didn't get justice. Perhaps most ironically, many of these same people are pro-aborts and little girls get butchered every day with their approval. Democrats are in a pattern of conflating deficit with debt. They imply they are talking about the debt when they are in fact talking about the deficit. Currently we have a $1.5 trillion annual deficit that is heaping more upon a mountain of debt already standing at $14.5 trillion. Their solution is to tax the most productive citizens and give that money to the unproductive under the auspices of deficit reduction. The Democratic leader of the Senate has introduced a measure asking the wealthy to make a large contribution to deficit reduction.

Well, not exactly asking, but anyway.

The resolution offered by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on Thursday asks lawmakers to sign off on a "Sense of the Senate" that "any agreement to wealthier taxpayers should reduce the budget deficit should require that those earning $1,000,000 or more per year make a more meaningful contribution to the deficit reduction effort."

Meanwhile the bottom 51% not only pay no federal income taxes but most of them get money back thereby adding to the deficit and the accumulated debt. What Reid in particular and Democrats in general simply don't get is that historically, each $1 in higher taxes results in $1.17 of new spending. Show me where, since WWII that the debt has come down even once no matter the tax increases:

But apparently that isn't good enough for those Obamaites.  They want more Dems, and above all, more pro-Obama sycophants.   So, Jay Carney, was it you who was kvetching?

Most women would not have thought to carry a gun even five years ago, said Andrea Durhal. When she became a National Rifle Association certified instructor eight years ago, her classes were mostly men. Recently, women have started to fill her classes.

It took a few years for women to get over a fear of guns and take responsibility for their protection, she said.

“We’re being victimized; we’re being raped. The crimes are getting higher and the police departments are less and less,” she said. “People are realizing now that they need to be their own security.”

There’s a very interesting graphic there. The highest percentages of women getting permits is Wayne County (Detroit) and Barry County (Grand Rapids). I would have thought that Genessee (Flint) and Oakland (Pontiac) Counties would be equally high, but they’re slightly less. I wonder why?

Dearborn is caught in a spiral. A few years ago, peaceful Christian missionaries would quietly come to Dearborn to preach the Gospel. Then security started slapping Christians around, and police began throwing Christians in jail and trampling on the Constitution. 29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

The National Black Prolife Coalition released a new video today saying that, on the anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the nation should recognize babies in the womb as a class of unprotected human beings targeted by abortion. Members of the coalition include Ryan Bomberg of the Radiance Foundation and Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“This monumental anti-discrimination act falls short of protecting America’s weakest and most vulnerable class of human beings, the babies in the womb. Even the ‘Women’s Rights Movement’ should recognize the harm to the rights of the baby girls in the womb,” King said. “Other monumental events in America’s history also did not foresee the potential harm of failure to protect all innocent unborn babies.”

“President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation,” King added. “Who would ever dream that by 2011 African American babies would be the most vulnerable people group to be executed by abortion, or that their mothers would be the most targeted market for the abortion industry?”

Planned Parenthood is an evil organization. Plain evil. What else do you call an organization that encourages women to wait and have an abortion at a certain point in the pregnancy so that they can turn around and sell fetus bodyparts for a profit? That covers up statutory rape of little girls by adult men? That targets minorities in line with their founder Margaret Sanger's eugenics push to rid the world of black people? Here in Michigan, Planned Parenthood has strategically located their butcher shops in Detroit, Warren, Jackson, Lansing, East Lansing, Livonia, Ypsilanti, and are now eyeballing Pontiac. All of these locations are close to large minority populations. Funny that you never see their "health care" facilities in affluent suburbs. It's almost like they're targeting undesirables in their view or something. You don't have to go too far in any historical research to learn that Planned Parenthood was set up by Margaret Sanger, (or am I thinking Ruth Bader Ginsburg?) a eugenicist and disciple of the false god Molech, for the express purpose of elimination of what she considered "undesireables." The black community was target numero uno for Sanger:

Quite ironically, it is the black community that supports liberal politicians by overwhelming margins that install judicial activists on the courts and throw taxpayer money at orgs like Planned Parenthood that in turn go into minority neighborhoods to butcher as many as possible. Such is supported as the most fundamental right by those activist judges against the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence that for one lists "life" as the greatest of unalienable rights. Just remember the fact that abortion is far and away the #1 killer of blacks in the U.S. (more than all diseases - combined):

Abortion kills more black Americans than the seven leading causes of death combined, according to data collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for 2005, the latest year for which the abortion numbers are available.

Abortion killed at least 203,991 blacks in the 36 states and two cities (New York City and the District of Columbia) that reported abortions by race in 2005, according to the CDC. During that same year, according to the CDC, a total of 198,385 blacks nationwide died from heart disease, cancer, strokes, accidents, diabetes, homicide, and chronic lower respiratory diseases combined. These were the seven leading causes of death for black Americans that year.

A total of 49 jurisdictions reported their abortion numbers for 2005 to the CDC. These included all 50 states--except California, Louisiana, and New Hampshire--and New York City and the District of Columbia. Of these 49 jurisdiction, only 36 states plus New York City and the District of Columbia reported the number of abortions by race.

...According to the CDC, the total of 203,991 blacks killed by abortion in 2005 also does not include those aborted by "private physicians’ procedures.”

In 2005, a total of 820,151 legal abortions were performed in the 49 jurisdication that reported abortions to the CDC, according to the “Abortion Surveillance” report, which is published in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, or MMWR, for Nov. 28, 2008. (Scroll up to top of report)

The report states, “Approximately 1 in 5 U.S. pregnancies have ended in abortion,” and also notes some limitations on the data: “The overall number, ratio, and rate of abortions are conservative estimates; the total numbers of legal induced abortions provided by central health agencies and reported to the CDC for 2005 were probably lower than the numbers actually performed.”

...Rev. Clenard H. Childress, Jr., founder of BlackGenocide.org, told CNSNews.com that according to numbers gleaned from statistics provided by the Guttmacher Institute, a pro-abortion group, 1,784 blacks are aborted each day. Also, he notes on his Web site that three out of five African-American women will obtain an abortion.

Childress said the information and sources on his Web site have never been challenged by abortion-access supporters. “This is because they can see that themselves, and they know them probably to be far worse than we’re reporting. The facts come from the pro-abort/pro-choice community,” he said.

And it will get even worse if Obamacare were to pass into law. Planned Parenthood would then have the absolute authority to set up clinics in every public school in the country.

I feel bad many times for having thoughts of these people squirming before God on judgment day, but at the same time, I wonder what WOULD they say? What CAN they say when they give an account as we all will? I was trying to help the economy? Health care? Pro-choice? Principle? How ridiculous would that sound should the audience consist of the 50 million souls aborted in the U.S. since RvW? How about this Democrat mantra: "I wanted to help the little guy, the downtrodden, the most helpless amongst us, ...." And then it sets in, the horrible realization that the most helpless amongst us (who is smaller than these little guys anyway?) have been slaughtered - butchered in the most barbaric and horrific ways imaginable, and with their full blessing. Torn head from shoulder, limb from torso, legs from hips, exposed to saline fluid that burned skin and muscle, to be scraped out like a rash and flushed down a toilet like fecal matter or put into a dumpster with the garbage. And the false god Molech smiles.

How do people that work for these facilities, whether independent of as part of the Planned Parenthood butcher shops, and sleep well at night? Do they have the approval of their conscience? If so, I fear for their spirit. Why are people surprised at the callousness that is shown to evil and death in this country when acts like this have been condoned, encouraged and protected by our elected leaders and highest courts? Why is it surprising that Planned Parenthood not only performs abortions, but lies and breaks the law to do so, going so far as to cover up statutory rape of 12- and 13-year old girls so that they can be repeat customers?

Slavery was  great stain on this country. Far worse than slavery is abortion. Ironically, the two are not independent of one another as statistics clearly show that abortion is the new racism.
