Harry Reid 2006: Public Debt 'The Greatest of the Dangers to be Feared'

"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) quoted Thomas Jefferson saying, "I place economy among the first and most important government virtues and public debt as the greatest of the dangers to be feared," when voting against raising the debt ceiling in 2006."
Since Harry Reid became Senate Majority Leader in 2006, more than $5 trillion has been added to the debt, and he now wants to raise the debt ceiling again. It's quite a hole he dug along with Pelosi and Obama:
