Payback: Obama neglects to call Green Bay Packers to congratulate them on Super Bowl win

The Super Bowl yesterday was the highest rated one yet: Super Bowl XLV Breaks All-Time Viewing Record, Draws 111 Million Viewers... But there was this from my live-blog of the game yesterday:
Actually, Obama doomed the Steelers. From The Other McCain: Obama Jinxes Steelers in Super Bowl
Ever since the president put the curse on Philly, every NFL team has prayed that Obama wouldn’t endorse them.
Sorry, Pittsburgh fans: Packers by 4.
Turns out, Obama may be so bitter about that that he didn't even bother to call the Packers or MVP Aaron Rodgers to congratulate them on the win. From RCP via drudge:
White House press secretary says President Obama hasn't called anyone from the Packers team after they won the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Video at the link. Sour. Grapes. Or maybe he's just getting tired of giving teams the kiss of death. From one year ago: Obama gave Colts the kiss of death, picked them to win. Colts lose Super Bowl XLIV to Saints 31-17. He also thought the Olympics were a shoo-in for Chicago because of his involvement (epic fail), that Corzyn would win in New Jersey, Deeds in Virginia, Coakley in Massachusetts, and that he would by himself succeed in Copenhagen. That was 0-5 a year ago there tough guy! What it's up to now is anyone's guess...

  2. Obama's just ticked, because, even after he got his mug plastered all over the Super Bowl with his interview with Bill O'Reilly, the Packers still drew a bigger crowd than he did (or ever would!).

The One doesn't like to be Number Two.
