Conservative blogger Debbie Schlussel being sued by terrorist-enabling CAIR for using their name

As Red State pointed out back in March: FBI Reaffirms CAIR’s Terrorist Ties. Said organization was tagged as an unindicted co-conspirator in raising money to fund Hamas terrorism.This is an organization of extremists. That very group is suing conservative blogger Debbie Schlussel, who blogs quite a bit about radical Islam, for using the groups name. For the record, Schlussel registered CAIR Michigan Inc. with the state of Michigan. She also operates the site cairmichigan.com. Local officials for a Muslim civil rights organization have filed a lawsuit to stop a conservative commentator from using the group's name.

Dawud Walid, the executive director of Council on American-Islamic Relations-Michigan, said his group today filed a federal lawsuit this week against Debbie Schlussel alleging she is illegally using the group's name and has created the site cairmichigan.com. Walid's organization's website is cairmichigan.org.

Ironically, the terrorist-enabling CAIR is upset because they claim their name has been of all things... hijacked:

"I'm not an attorney, but I do know it's a violation of federal trademark (laws) to hijack the name of an organization," said Walid today. "CAIR is one of the most visible Muslim organization in these United States of America. I can't speak to directly to her motivations but in our opinion, Debbie Schlussel is an extremely intolerant person … a well-known anti-Muslim, anti-Arab bigot."

Part of Walid's dislike of Schlussel is that she outed him as the criminal that he is (Delano Anthony Willis, a criminal convict transplant from Virginia).

Schlussel, a Southfield attorney, said CAIR Michigan abandoned the name six years ago and her unnamed client took it and wanted her to be executive director of the website.

"I'm not confusing anyone," said Schlussel. "There is only one CAIR Michigan Inc. and it is one registered by me."
