Pic of the Day: Poland completes giant Jesus statue standing 108 feet tall

The iconic Jesus statue in Brazil’s Rio is 125 feet tall. By comparison, the one erected in Poland stands 108 feet tall, or 33 meters - 1 meter for every year of Jesus life. The statue in Poland is called "Christ the King:" Here's what the finished statue in Swiebodzinlooks like:
Some construction shots:
Even though Poland is majority Roman Catholic, they have secular progressives just like we do that don't like the statue one bit. From the AP via The Oakland Press: Giant Jesus statue completed in Poland
It has divided Poles and underlined the deep cultural divide between a deeply Catholic population and an increasingly confident secular society — with many mocking the statue project as tacky.
Nice. Just like here in the US. How long before they start equating Jesus with the flying spaghetti monster. History repeats itself:
63 The men who were guarding Jesus began mocking and beating him. 64 They blindfolded him and demanded, “Prophesy! Who hit you?” 65 And they said many other insulting things to him.- Luke 22 (NIV)
