Yet to this day, some 44 days after the exposion and subequest oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico, Obama still has not met with or even spoken directly with the CEO of BP. His excuse? That Obama is "not interested in words." And that BP CEO Tony Hayward "will say all the right things to me." And apparently Ahmidenijad would not? The 2:39 mark of this video is where such fun begins (even the liberal Matt Lauer at the 3:05 point can't seem to believe what he's saying):
So much for the hope and change. Or the finger pointing. Relatedly, Charles Rangel (!) had this to say about Obama's response, or lack thereof, to the Gulf oil spill:
“I don’t think the administration has the slightest clue. We’re bringing in experts now, in and outside of government, to see whether or not BP will do more. We should have had the answers to that long before we even drilled. Now we’re trying to find the answer after the problem. The potential danger was always there.”Yikes. Even Charles Rangel gets it that the Obama administration is utterly clueless.
