Single-Payer Hell: Bleeding Pregnant Woman Refused Scan, Lied To, Sent Home, Loses Baby Boy

No government-run system embodies all that is wrong with the Obamacare concept more than Britain's National Health Service (NHS). In Britain, under the draconian NHS, liver cancer patients are denied life-saving drugs to save cost, babies born prematurely are left to die if they come out before a certain date, terminally ill patients, and some that are not ill at all, are put on a fast track to death, and patients with chest pains are sent home with pain pills only to die later that same day. The horror stories go on and on, such as the one's I have written about at the end of this post. BUT... NHS does have money to have violent child predators put on Viagra, and to irreversibly mutilate 12-year olds. Oh yeah - they also leave grandmas to die of starvation. I reported on the deaths yesterday; deaths due to neglect, indifference, sloth, filth, and blood-splattered tools. But there was a story at th very end of the long article that deserved its own post:

Lucy Anderson blames the Basildon hospital for the 'mental torture' of losing her unborn baby.

I am always surprised, in a good way, when the MSM refers to unborn babies as unborn babies, rather than "fetus" or blob of cells or whatever other non-baby description floats their boat on that day. Anyway:

She was five months pregnant and bleeding heavily when she went to the A&E. She allegedly waited five hours to be seen, only to be refused a scan due to lack of staff.

The 30-year-old mental health worker said she was then told her baby was fine and was sent home, even though doctors could not find a heartbeat and she was still bleeding.

When she went back the next day, she was told the baby was dead but she would have to give birth to it - although nothing could be done for three days.

She said there was dried blood on the floor of the hospital when she went in there.

Mrs Anderson, who is pregnant again, said: 'I had to walk around with a dead baby inside. You can imagine the heartache this caused, not to mention the mental torture.'

The nightmare continued once Mrs Anderson, of West Thurrock, was admitted to the hospital. She started to haemorrhage and her condition was critical.

'I nearly died that night but was informed I was put aside because a child had been admitted after an accident,' added Mrs Anderson, who was so traumatised she was off work for six months.

The hospital began an investigation last month into her experience in January.

Mrs Anderson has vowed not to return to Basildon hospital with her second pregnancy.

She said it had been nearly a year since her son died and she still had heard nothing.

Of course not. Some bureaucrat told her of the investigation just to make her feel better. Truth is, THEY DON'T CARE! It's just a job to them, like an auto mechanic, except they work on people rather than cars. They get a lump some of money from the government and ration it for the year. Stories like the above are just collateral damage. And they get about as much thought from the barbarian bureaucrats.
