Non-Shocker of the Morning - Former DPS Head Calloway: Detroit School Board Corrupt!

NO. WAY. Never saw that coming. The same school system that mismanaged their budget and hit their true deficit, with payday cashflow problems, a system that apparently give current U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan sleepless night, that kicked out 50 elite teachers because they became a threat to the establishment, a system that has the lowest graduation rate in the country. THAT school system? Gee - I never saw it coming. NEVER SAW IT COMING!

In fact, if we open the umbrella a bit, you'll see that DPS is just one problem cog in a big problem machine. Detroit, a city in decline, in population as well as any moral standards whatsoever, and ground zero for the infectious disease Detroitus Incompititus. A city that seems to never know what to do, and most often than not does the wrong thing. Noone knows how to handle leadership, schools, or the pension situation. Plus, a city council with moonbat Monica Conyers in charge (charge might be the most apropo word for what's coming down the pike for her).

Besides being a racist, recently telling the Teamsters president 'Why should we care. You don't look like us?' after he told the city council how many jobs would be created with the Cobo deal, she has been beat up even in the liberal media because of her boorish behavior. How could they beat up on her for making fun of the hearing of cancer patient (during an official Council meeting)? Or being involved in a bar fight just before taking office? Or calling then Council President Cockrel "Shrek?" Or the hotel disturbance at the Democratic convention this past August (ostensibly because she wasn't getting the "queen" treatment)? Or the illegal travel reimbursements? Or the Synagro bribery scandal? I mean - who even knows what Synagro is? And using the police force as a bunch of indentured servants, that was nothing! So diluted and self-absorbed is she that she now wants to be a write-in candidate for Mayor of Detroit. With so few people voting, they might just elect the cluck!

Don't even get me started on Kwame..

So it is any surprise this morning that this came from the freep:

Former Detroit Public Schools Superintendent Connie Calloway on Thursday night accused at least three past and present board members of making her the scapegoat for longstanding budget problems, trying to award contracts to benefit themselves and removing and changing documents to cover their actions.
In the article, Calloway goes on to list a litany of unethical and illegal behavior, some of which was reported to the FBI. It will all fall on deaf ears. All of it. The machine will move forward, shredding good intentions and capital investment alike.
